Tax incentive potential for E85 in Missouri: Article
There are no tax incentives or rebates available for flex vehicles. Some other companies are posting on their web sites stating that you can get 50% or more of a rebate if you do an E85 conversion. After months of research, we have not been able to find anyone who has been able to take advantage of any of the rebates. We have confirmed with several government agencies that the rebate only applies to a vehicle that is specifically converted to an alternative fuel and can never run traditional fuels. It then must be approved by the EPA as a LEV, ULEV, SULEV or ZEV at a cost of $20,000. Flex kits allow the use of gasoline so they will never qualify under the current incentive program. This includes state and federal incentives. In the event that conversion kits do become part of the tax incentive program, we will post the information on this page. |
